In the near future, TRC will make possible for a solutions provider to develop robot applications without needing to build the robot. Instead, you will be able to buy an off-the-shelf robot that has supporting hardware/software/cloud architecture to enable your motile robot application.
Domain experts, I.T. and ICT Departments, Systems Integrators, and software developers can build robot applications using well-structured API’s for cloud services and robot operations and an SDK for local robot hardware functionality. We call this architecture and strategy Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS™). TRC will provide a family of RaaS™ robots that share the same API’s and SDK. Furthermore, the architecture allows fleet purchasers to white label and brand their solution while taking advantage of a robust 3rd party developer community.
