TRC Robotics (aka. Telepresence Robotics Corporation or TRC) introduces the Commercial Personal Robot™ (or CPR™) and CPR-Platform™. CPR’s are cloud-connected, multipurpose robots built by TRC and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) using the modular CPR-platform™. Both mass market and custom produced versions support robot apps to serve business, commercial, Smart City, home, and education markets.
The CPR-Platform addresses the greatest problem facing the exponentially growing commercial robot market for service and utility robots. The CPR next-generation development platform separates the hardware from the software allowing software and IT developers to build CPR-Apps™ or commercial robot solutions without needing to build the robot.
TRC’s CPR Related Products Include:
- CPR-Platform for licensing to OEMs
- Off-the-shelf robots (CPRs) for multipurpose uses with CPR-Apps [COMING SOON]
- Custom robots (CPRs) in small runs for testing and custom projects [TAKING ORDERS NOW]
- Custom CPR-Apps to run on any CPR
- Support for CPR-App developers with the CPR 3rd Party Developer Program
The CPR-Platform and architecture are still in pre-release development, but early adopters and partners can participate in the evolving CPR-OS™ that will be licensed for mass production to OEMs.
TRC will produce its first CPR for purchase by mid-2019. TRC is planning multiple versions of off-the-shelf CPRs including a full height rolling version for office and business, and a small version for education and software developers. Each will have important built-in functions that can be immediately integrated into enterprise I.T. infrastructures or used in teaching including: telepresence; enterprise level security; APIs to support both robot services and cloud connectivity for custom development; hardware support for local AI acceleration and network connectivity; support for plug-and-play Application Control Units (ACUs™); and cloud-based administration of CPR fleets.
CPR pre-orders will receive a significant discount. Special software projects that include pre-ordered CPRs are wanted for the Beta program. Beta version CPRs for developers will be available soon and we are taking inquiries now.
Following the release of TRC’s first CPR, TRC will open the online CPR App Store™. For more information please see the Developers page.
We are now working with third-party software developers to design and build new CPR apps that will be available at or shortly after launch. If you have some input on this, we welcome your inquiry.
