May 2, 2018, Santa Clara, CA USA: Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Festival (SVEF) is one of the largest international conferences held annually that focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship. The first SVEF was launched in 2016 by Hanhai Holding Group, Ding Ding TV, and the China-US Summit with the support from the Consulate General of China in San Francisco and the Bay Area Council. The mission of the conference is to establish a platform to facilitate engagement between investors and entrepreneurs from all over the world and to showcase brand influence on a global stage.
TRC (Telepresence Robotics Corporation) CEO Harrison Rose participated on the panel “New Opportunities for AI in Global Intelligent Manufacturing and Smart City”. In this panel, Mr. Rose provided insights into how the Commercial Robot is an extension of the information and communications technology infrastructure of a smart city from the digital world into the physical real world. “Consider a ‘commercial’ robot to be a peripheral to the Internet,” he said. The evolution of the commercial robot to become the Commercial Personal Robot™ (or CPR™) via the TRC Robot-as-a-Platform (RaaP™) will radically change the economics of creating a commercial robot app especially for the enterprise and smart city environment.
Additionally, TRC was one of the limited numbers of startups invited to present in the Silicon Valley Frontier Technology Spotlight startup competition to great approval by the judges and audience. TRC also demonstrated the updated version of their CPR prototype.
